Re: AVS and 2eme pillier

That should be easy to obtain from your pension fund ... normally, you should receive an annual statement (or also anytime upon request) and there you can see the amount of "transferability"

Re: AVS and 2eme pillier

Swiss Authorities Online (ch.ch) has a page called "AHV for returnees" which might assist you:

"Anyone who has worked in Switzerland and then left the country is entitled to receive a refund of the paid AHV contributions or an AHV pension depending on their country of residence. If Switzerland has a social insurance agreement with the returnee’s country of residence, the AHV pension will be paid abroad. If there is no such agreement, the AHV contributions may be refunded without interest."

Re: AVS and 2eme pillier

For info to other people, lf leaving to live in the EU it's often possible to take the pension 100% as cash. I did it this year so I know for a fact it's possible.

The rules state 'generally not possible, depending on the requirement for compulsory insurance' The pension providers stock answer is you can't take it......

I don't know where compulsory insurance is required (other than CH for employees). France, UK, Malta for sure don't.

Re: AVS and 2eme pillier

Hi!
Could you explain me with more details, please?

I'm going to UK and I'm not EU citizen. What can I take (AVS and 2eme pillar)?

Where can I see this information?

Thank you

This Swiss government brochure should explain what you need to know:

http://www.sem.admin.ch/dam/data/sem...zialvers-e.pdf

Assuming you can reclaim your AVS (pillar 1) contributions, this is the form to do so:

https://www.ahv-iv.ch/p/602.101.e
