I know there a few posts out there but i am just calling out for help.

I am moving back to the Uk in the week of the 25th of July. and i just dont know what to do.......... all moving companies seem so expensive so i have been looking at hiring a van.... this too is so difficult becuase know one offers one way rentials and the thought of driving back here for know reason is crazy!!!

Can any one help me re van rentals??? good deals or if anyone has a van and needs it to go back to the UK?

its very hard i know , my mate flew to england hired a white van from a rental company on friday did the move and had it back monday hard weekend but saves a lot.

How much stuff are you intending to bring back?
i.e. do you need a large Removal Truck; a Ford Cargo 3.5 Tonne or just a van for personal belongings.

Second hand furniture is so cheap on ebay in the UK.
I re-furnished my UK home (6 bedrooms; 5 reception rooms) for under £5,000 to give you an idea as I transported all my furniture to Switzerland on the sale of my house in the UK that fell through.

I am moving back with some personal belongings, clothing, dvds, books, some kitchen materials, pictures etc... and then there is my bedroom furniture (double bed, wardrobe and chest of draws) and 2 book cases and 3 coffee tables. there is not alot really.

I would consider not taking the furniture back with you. Maybe sell the stuff before you leave. Just take your personal bits and pieces. Honestly, the cost and hassle of trying to transport such a small amount of furniture is probably not worth the headache, the time, and the expense.
Do you know where you are moving into when you get to the UK? A lot of rental places provide fully or partly furnished rooms.
The cost of replacing the stuff in the UK will not be that much.
Unless your furniture is valuable or antique or of sentimental value, I would leave it here.
