How to find out if I have a bill to pay after I leave CH?

I came to Switzerland at the beginning of March 2010 but decided to leave in mid-July. So I de-registered, packed my bags and left Switzerland. Two weeks ago I came back for a short visit and now I am 100% sure that I will not stay in Switzerland. Here are my questions:

1. Once I leave Switzerland, is there anyway (preferably online sources) I can check to see if there is an outstanding bill for me? I asked the post office to forward my mails, but just in case I don't receive my mails or bills for that matter, how I can find out that I have some bills to pay here?

2. As a student at of the universities here, I got a B permit and a residency card with the expiration in Feb. 2011. Do I need to do anything about it? or does the deregistration and disenrollment from the school take cares of it?

Lastly, one curious occurrence: last week when I went to a money exchange office at CFF train station to send a western union, the clerk could still locate my registered address in the system when she searched for my name. Considering the fact that I de-registered back in July, that made me apprehensive. I mean why they still have me registered in the canton with my previous apartment address

You can find out if you have any outstanding debts online here: https://www.e-service.admin.ch/eschk...index_html_de/

Your previous address will still be in many systems such as Directories, Search.ch and Twixtel for a while.

I doubt the school will deregister your permit.

Personally I would keep the permit, and try and enjoy the forthcoming snow. If you are young, single, & money is tight, you could get a job in a Chocolate factory (very busy around now), a cheese factory, a Gold refinery (eg if you are a Chemist, or IT for process control), etc. Swiss companies are naturally finding it difficult to get cheap overseas temporary labour permit wise. Would be something cool & interesting to put on your CV.
