I need one advise:

I have B permit which is tied to a Indian IT Company. I wish to return back to India and am expecting to come back after 6 months. But if I have to go back, my Company would inform the authorities that I am no more working with them there by I presume my B permit would get cancelled.

I would like to know :

a. How to keep my B permit without de registering or can I keep my B permit even if my Company inform that I am no more working with them?Is it allowed?

b. What is the maximum number of days I can stay out of Switzerland assuming that I can keep my B permit ?

Any information would be highly appreciated.

I just de-registered and we asked.
Well if you de-register you will loose your B permit. This is sure.
When you come back and start working you will get it back.

The other option is that you do not de-register. You have a B permit
and you can resign for work, go on holiday and come back.
I think, but I am not sure about it, that
the problem could be if you resign you apartment rent contract.
You should move to another place.

I de-registered yesterday. Because I will stay on in Switzerland as a "tourist" to be able to go to school, I was given my papers and told to give them my permit. However I told them that until I finish work I must travel alot and require the permit for airport purposes. They said I could keep it as long as I mail it in to them when I officially finish.
