Dont take it to the heart man, words are easy to say. Experiences have taught me to say the right things at the right time, doesnt matter what you do and goes through your head.

Its like, once I was at a girl's place I had met and it was odd hours of the morning and I was smoking a cigerette, relaxing on the couch and the nice lady goes "My boyfriend will home any minute and hes from Iran"

I didnt show any reaction nor flinched a muscle and calmy replied "I dont care, you invited me" to which she gave me a big smile and said "I like your answer!"

Whereas the fact is, the thoughts going through my head were knife carrying immigrant, oh shit! And was planning and calculating my escape routes, if it was possible to jump out of the window or how high were the stairs and if there was enough space for me to jump over the rails just as he gets on top of the stairs and enough time to get out of front the door etc etc... Only if she had known

You mean the car joke? What has that got to do with condoning beating?
The lady should report her husband if she wants out. Me reporting is not going to make her leave him. Sorry I can't fight other people's battles so close to my home.
Then at least have the decency to be quiet about it. You were the OP after all. If you were looking for confirmation that you did the right thing, I'm afraid you won't get it from me, sorry.

Re: Woman getting manhandled by her husband?

the topic has been beaten to death in this thread; some troll is keeping ruminating over it, trotting it out again and again.

We are all witnesses of "topical violence" and no one moved or called the cops (i.e mods) to stop the violence. Help! Stop it.

Im sure you are a 100% peaceful and civilised guy and you dont care what other people think of you but you do care what your family, wife and kids think about you, dont you?
Yes I do within reason.

Quote:
What if in the situation you mentioned you were not alone and had your wife and kids with you and you had just walked away from it and things had got bad? Would'nt that bother you that your family would think you're a chicken sh!t?
Nice try but my family does not think like you fortunately. My wife told me clearly that she needs me healthy, alive and does not want me to get involved in street fights. She was never into men who went around acting all ape. I will defend my family if they are attacked but I won't lay my life for you or your family.

Quote:
Thing is, its easy to have 8-9 page discussions on something which has not affected us, but if and when we do get affected by it then some of us would cry "Why me! Why did no one cared to come to my side and help me? How could they just walk away like that? Animals!!"
I already mentioned I would not care about why people did not help. I have been attacked in public and the thought did not even cross my mind that no one came to help. I helped myself the best I could. I suggest the lady call the police and help herself too.

Quote:
I mean whats next in your life? Your kids get bullied in school and you're going to tell them to bear with it as it not their action?
Logic disconnect? I would tell them to contact the relevant person who's job is to sort the problem and I will equip my kid verbally and physically so that the bully gets a kick in his nads. I certainly would not expect some other kid to fight my kid's battles.

Quote:
Someone gives a lip to your wife or mistress and you're going to ignore it and infact feel proud that you have never done that to any woman?
I will sort them out or get police involved. I would not expect you to sort it for me.

Watch the movie 3:10 to Yuma, you might learn something.
Brilliant flick but I don't live my life based on Hollywood movies set in the desert. Did you see how many people dropped dead in that movie? lol

Im pretty sure, when you got home after witnessing that unfortunate event, you would have smiled proudly at your wife, with the thought in your head "You should consider yourself so lucky, that I am not the kind of guy whom I just saw abusing his wife"
I did not think I actually told her

Re: Woman getting manhandled by her husband?

I am not a troll but if I was then what is the point of you saying don't feed the troll but then continuing to post on this thread?

It's like saying I don't like chopping my own fingers but then continuing to chop them off anyway lol
Or in Nil's case saying that she does not read my posts but continuing to read them and thanking anyone who posts against me

Manhandle me (update)

I saw the guy again with the same kid and a woman who appeared to be the kid's mum. Needless to say she was playing happy family with him. Smiling, laughing and being all over him. I am fully satisfied with my decision of not interfering that night.

The lady obviously has issues and they make a fine couple Moral of the story? If you witness a similar domestic fight then you yourself will have to weigh the pros and cons and decide what action to take or not to take. Based on what I have seen I am happy that I made the right decision for this particular smashing couple. So glad I did not jump and wade into other people's shit.

You can't help people who don't want to be helped.
