So I fancy myself a bit of a ninja, and being from Australia, I have a nice collection of throwing knives, however I didn't bring them to Switzerland because I was unsure of the legalities. I noticed however that some shops sell butterfly knives, which are very illegal in Australia.
So does anyone know whether throwing knives are legal here and if a license is required?

I'm in the Aargau canton, if that matters.
Heey, i went to Sweden with airplane where i brought my switchblade, and everything went good, and i also brought 3 other knifes ( since i am also a knife lover!).
Alas, unless you are one-armed, swichblades and butterlies are illegal here since the mid '90s or so (I have several switch-blades at home, which is legal, you just can't carry them anymore)

I have a set of steak knives and no one has ever harassed me about them. Although I did buy them off a dodgy Albanian guy named Hurk.
He told me if I snitched he would kill me...... But with all the spying the neighbors do I think they would have reported it by now if it were illegal.
If all else fails tell them your collection is all steak knives.
So that's why my wife made us throw away all our knives and have been using only chopsticks for the last 5 years ??? Oh, damn. Do you know how difficult it is to cut a steak with a chopstick ???
