Evening classes carpentry near Zug

I have searched other threads but could nog find any information on evening classes, except for language courses.
I am eager to learn working with wood, make small furniture, etc. I my home country it is possible for adults to take evening classes (once a week) and learn the basics. During a schoolyear, you then learn the basic techniques by making one piece of furniture you select. These courses are in most cases given at a normal school ("Berufschule") where you can use the machinery and the like.
I have been searching the internet where I could find such a course here in Zug or somewhere nearby (I live in Walchwil, so Luzern or Schwyz is also an option) but so far no luck.
Is anyone aware of such courses being given?

Thanks for any help!

Could you travel to Basel?

Found this on the way to looking for something else (as you do) and put it in my 'maybe someday' file. (OH is a keen amateur woodworker):

Neue Freizeitwerkstatt Basel

http://holzwerken.info/web/

From the website:

Create wooden toys, a superb designer bed, a dining table in solid wood, or restore antique furnitures as a member of our non-profit association you can start working under professional guidance of voluntary carpenters and knowledgeable advisers. Even though not everybody may speak English fluently, communication has never been a problem. Preliminary knowledge is an advantage, but no requirement. You will be able to learn by doing. Work on large machines will be carried out by our carpenters at a defined time-based cost. Drop in during our opening hours and discuss your project with one of our volunteer advisors on site!
