Hi All,
As summer briefly returns to CH i pose the question: Does anyone know where to get a good brazilian wax in ZH or AG that does not cost a fortune? Hirstutely Yours,

Hmm... I know Vanity ( www.vanity.ch) in either Stockerstrasse or Baur au Lac has it. I've not tried them out but if I were going to get one, I'd go there. I go to them for normal legs and bikini and so far have never been disappointed.

I can recommend Bianca Hess at Vanity (place Nanda mentioned) but if you want a cheaper place try asthetic arts on Höschgasse in Seefeld. Its about 40.- cheaper.... |

Yes, I can second the recommendation for Bianca. She's the friendliest in the shop.

Hi TipRat,
I'm changing the subject line to this thread to "Looking for a wax in Zurich or Aargau" from "A Question for the Ladies???" - it might help locate the thread if they are interested.
Just as a side note - I understand that waxing isn't just for the ladies, though I can't really speak from experience. |

By the way , any one from from UK or US might know, but us there a place like Bliss Spa in or around Zurich ? A place you can have the complete package from body peeling to masage to facials in a relaxed atmosphere ? Is Vanity a good option?

Hi Stamp,
For the real pamper package check out Labo day spa ( http://www.labospa.ch/). Wonderful atmosphere, complete with complimentary fluffy dressing gowns and slippers for your stay, a wonderful rest room with tea and water on offer... ahhhh bliss |

Hi Guys
thanks to the person who started this thread!!! This is a super serial issue!
Orchid sounds nice, especially price wise, but is too far.
Is there a more afforable spa in Zurich? I just need plain old waxing and facials. I've been on this hunt for vier monat!!! (since well before I
moved!).
In this, the femme maintenance dept., I actually miss Los Angeles.
Also, does anyone (particularly all you curry lovers) know of any Persian or Indian beauty salons where I can get my eyebrows threaded?
If I don't do something about my eyebrows soon, I am going to shelve any ideas I may have of working/studying, don't want to scare anyone away.
Cheers!
Leyla

Hi Leyla,
The cheapest place that I know of is Vanity. They are also a teaching school so you get cheap waxing by the students. I've been going there for years and have never had a bad experience. The students have all been very pleasant and gentle (whew!).
As for threading, there is an indian lady who does it at the Vanity Baur au Lac place. I can't remember how much she charges exactly but from memory it's something like Sfr40 for eye-brows.
I do know of a gujerati lady that does it for Sfr15. She also does indian facials (home-made ingredients). But she's very no-frills. If you're interested in her details, send me a private note as I won't put up her personal details here.

Hi Nanda,
I just did a search for waxing and threading and found this old thread.
The Gujarati lady sounds like just the angel I am looking for - if she's still around and practising the ancient arts - could you PM me her number please.
Thanks

Aesthetic Art in Seefeld do a Brazilian for CHF 48.-, but that may be the student rate. I would recommend asking for someone other than Valentina though, she's lovely and good to chat to but sadly her waxing skills are not stunning. As in, instead of ripping the wax off in one go like you should she kind of peels it off bit by bit. Paaaaain.

I recently learned that Globus in Zurich has a Beauty and Spa Area that also seem to do waxings. I am not into waxings myself so I am not sure how they compare price wise, but there is information and a pricelist on the globus website.

Just want to say thanks a lot for this thread, and that I found it!
I went to Vanity today, and had an excellent wax from Nathalie, not a Brazilian, but exactly what I wanted.
I would highly recommend this salon.

..... except maybe that they don't change towels between customers .... or maybe i am being too picky.
Can also recommend Jacqueline (in the Baur au Lac) , who did a very good job on me and is also very friedly....
