Hi im wondering are there any retail parks near Lausanne for buying furniture,DIY,groceries, sports equip etc.

There are at least two. Leman Centre & MMM Migros Centre Commercial Crissier. In the same area there is also a Fly furniture store, a Jumbo DIY place that includes an Athletica (or whatever the name), MediaMarkt, Darty. They are in and around Crissier (west of Lausanne).

Crissier is definitely the place for lots of these kinds of stores. However, if you just need a DIY / hardwarde / garden store, then you could go to the big OBI store in Renens.

Just off the motorway in Morges there is a a furniture/furnishings shop called Interio.

On the other side of Morges there is a retail park in Etoy which has a Hornbach DIY store, a couple of furniture/furnishings shops (Pfister & Heytens) as well as some a few other outlets that I can't remember the name of right now.. sorry.

Slightly further still there is Ikea.
