Is there anything else to deliver besides flowers?

I'm wondering if there is anything else that is commonly delivered to cheer someone up/send as a birthday gift besides flowers? I'm thinking more along the lines of cakes, cookies, cookie bouquet, --- all the foodie things you can order and have delivered in the US to someone's home.

Is anything like that available in Zurich?

http://www.cakefriends.ch also deliver in Zurich - even at a pre-specified time of the day if you want.
If you are lucky, the cakes are still warm.

amazon in any country is great for food ( particually the US site for deliveries to the US) as well as the usual books.
I had great fun sending a friend of mine taster cheesecakes one year. Just make sure the recipicent is there!
