Ok, but you do realise that the vacuum cleaner does not kill spiders, it will crawl back out at some point in my flat

Think i would use the shaving foam to shave the stubble off its legs first
But you would probably get around 70 years bad luck for killing something that size

you can always relocate the spider, the shaving cream eventually wears off. I don't think it would die of shaving cream poisioning...

If you aren't going to trap and release him, then the death must be sure and brutal.
Spiders are extremely tough little b@stards. Couple months ago a ~2cm one was scampering across a work table; snatched him up with tweezers and dropped him in a beaker of acetone.
Acetone. He ran around the perimeter of the bottom of the beaker for a good 10 seconds... I had to admire him so I pulled him out, dropped his groggy self on a paper towel and took him outside. A few minutes later he got up and marched off. Like a boss.
