Manicures around ZH/ZG/LU ?

Hi Ladies,

Could someone please recommed a place to get a manicure where the beautician cuts the cuticles as opposed to just pushing them back. Zug, Luzern or Zurich locations are perfect. Thanks so much in advance...

Re: Question for the ladies....

gourmet, sky,
Thank you so much for your recommendation, It means a lot to me.
Msbrown have already contacted me, but I, as a BIG rule do not cut cuticles, I do a spa Manicure which focus more in the moisturizing, revitilizing and renovation of the skin cells and avoids as much as possible to use any blade or scissor (I do when its absolutely necessary, but only to cut excess). I would recommend her to look in the Brazilian nail shops as the woman from Brazil as well as Mexicans use to get the type of manicure she is looking for.

Good luck on your search msbrown

Could you explain me what it is the difference on the result? Is cutting worst? And why?

Sure,

In a lower scale but imagine you cut your skin, then it heals and it gets a scar but you don't like the scar so you cut it again, repeat the cycle times infinity or until you realize its better to stop cutting, you use a scrubbing cream, exfoliate, and get rid of the excess of the death cells. The cuticles are there for a reason, they should be pushed back, and if it has some excess, then cut. but for the growth of the nail they just need to be pushed back. Its on the client to decide how she wants her cuticles and its very respectable the choice she makes, after all are her hands.

Re: Manicures around ZH/ZG/LU ?

A friend of mine is a beautician with almost 20 years experience and she almost had a fit when she saw that I cut my cuticles, apparently it's really not good and they just start growing back stronger. Same goes for hard skin on the feet, never cut it back yourself, if at all, a podologist should do that - very conservatively.

For hard skin on the feet, I highly recommend Diamancel foot files. I've never had a pedicure and do all my beauty stuff at home. This file will leave your feet silky soft and beautiful. Pricier than drugstore files by far but totally worth it. =)

I can recommend schminkbar in Zurich... You can get a Classic Manicure for 80CHF or a quick one for 40CHF...
