I got myself a nice pair of tan suede boots for the winter season and was told to put protection on them.

I bought this but not sure if its the right stuff, says its for leather and it colourless, anybody know if it will be ok?

From a quick look, that probably will mess up the suede.

I think you should use a impregnation spray, specifically for suede or generic spray. 3 coats should do well.

I use that for my suede shoes, and it works well, a quick brushing/cleaning in the spring removed any dirt build up easily before another spray

Suede is "Wildleder" or "Veloursleder" in German. Your product is for ordinary leather ("Glattleder"). You probably want this to protect suede.
