I have used http://www.excess-baggage.com/ a number of times for shipping personal/household stuff, but maybe they take other kinds of shipments too. Not sure they are really the cheapest but they are fast and relatively hassle free. They use DHL, but I find them cheaper than shipping with DHL directly.

I rang all the local companies near me in the Uk, the small ones not the big names. One of them had a weekly run to switzerland and just stuck my boxes on the lorry too, at a really good price, worth a try ....... it cost half the price of other quotes.

I used parcel to go when I moved over here to ship non urgent things. Very good service and cheap. If you choose economy service it can take up to.two weeks but I shipped 4 30 kg boxes with them and it cost me £60.
