Children activities in Vaud/Jura

We have a 5 y.o. South African boy coming to visit us this weekend who has never experienced snow before. He's an energetic troublemaker, like most boys of his age, so we're looking to tire him out but at the same time show him that life away from the beach can be really exciting. A challenging task but we're motivated!

Of course, we plan on taking him sledding somewhere in the Jura (probably La Givrine) and, if the conditions are right, a snowball fight, some proper snowmen and snow angels are in order. Any other ideas?

Thanks!

Skiing or snowboading also come to mind. Can be done in the same area as sledding, just make sure he has the proper insurances in case things go wrong.

Thanks for the idea, but we'll save that for later I think!
