Starting a Verein and getting a 'club house' / social club

Hello all,

Does anyone have any experience of doing this?

We have a group of friends who all play football. We meet up regularly for this, enter tournaments here and abroad etc etc. It is as much about the social aspect as the footy though.

Someone had the idea of making it into a Verein so that we could rent a space (such as a hobby room perhaps?) and turn it into our own social club / bar.

We have looked around for this, but cannot find any premises (e.g. on homegate) designed for this. There do seem to be commercial rents at very reasonable rates, but would these stipulate it must be used as a shop, and only open until say 8pm latest or something like that?

Has anyone ever done this here?

Thanks,
StirB

Do it without having to go through an expensive language school. You can also teach and learn activities.

I don't know about how to rent a room, but if you're thinking of making a Verein, then this book might help you:
"Unser Verein. Handbuch für Vorstand und Mitglieder". Beobachter Ratgeber. see here . I'm a board member of a Verein/Verband myself and I find it very helpful.

no, unfortunately not... but it might be a motivation to learn german if you want to understand it . I find it helpful because it's specific swiss - and having a "verein" is specifically swiss...
