I am hoping to get a kitten to make our family complete, but understand that they do't have pet shops here??

Does anyone know how i can go about buying one and where from?

In Lausanne you can go to the animal protection society.
http://www.svpa.ch/ or you can try contacting vets. they sometimes have message boards with animals looking for homes or can tell you where you might find one.
