Anyway, my EU L-permit is due to expire in a a little over 4 weeks. I managed to get a job offer through weeks ago however, the contract still hasn't materialised. I have spoken to my potential employer a few times and what it boils down to is that once they are settled into a bigger office in mid-February, I will start training.
My understanding is that the employer wants to see how I work with the team etc. for a couple of days during the training period and then if we are both happy, the contract will be offered. Apart from that, the only assurance that I have got the job has been verbal.
My question is, seeing as my permit is up for renewal can/should I ask my employer for a letter stating their intention to hire me which would strengthen my renewal application? (And give me peace of mind despite the absence of a contract right now...) | |

You're EU? And not Romanian or Bulgarian? Register as a jobseeker, get a B permit.
