I am facing an issue regarding some stuff purchased from Ricardo.
The seller says the product can be collected only in April (mentioned in the bid) but askes me to pay within 14 days the complete amount.
I have told him that we will pay the amount when we come to collect the stuff but he says no. He said that the amount has to be paid in 14 days.

What should i do in this case?

I don't understand. First you say he is sending the stuff in April, then you say that you are picking it up.
If the latter, I wouldn't pay until you pick it up. Sounds weird, though.
Have you looked at the rating the seller has? It usually gives you a good indication on how reliable he is.

Doesn't Ricardo ask you to stipulate how payment is made, i.e CoD, payment in advance etc?

This is why I haaaate selling stuff on Ricardo and Ebay.

What was given in the auction description? Are you allowed to pick up? Did he say the item was only available in April? Got a link to the expired auction?

About the payment. Did it say you can pay on pickup? Payment in advance? Eh? Eh?

In that case, I wouldn't pay until you pick it up. Sounds very fishy.
Also, what's his rating? And has he sold other stuff or is he a one hit wonder? You need to look at those things, IMHO.

Yes he has sold some stuff, his rating is good.
But i am bit skeptical as i offered him to pay the amount on the collection day. I am even ready to collect now and pay. But he is not ready.

Buying an almirah.

He has no right to ask for money when you won't have your purchase for another 2 months. He should have said in the ad that he expects payment before collection date. Did you know this before you bid for it?

It says nothing about 'zahlung'?

My guess is that this seller is moving out of his home in April and decided to sell (very early) some of the stuff he is not taking with him.

Cancel the purchase, and if the item is still on sale in April.......try again then.
