its an odd one i know but i have been looking for small white marbles in basel for a while and cant find any.. tried all the main toy shops and department stores but no luck.. anyone seen some? if not its off to ebay

Go here http://www.spielhuus.ch ask for weisse Murmeln (German) or wiiisi murmle (generic Swiss German) if they don't have any, ask them where you could possibly find some.

thats why i said its a wierd one..... that shop was my first stop.. didnt have any and wasnt really interested in helping

Just use snow. They'll be fine for a few days at least.

Its not Basel but I can tell you where they sell a HUGE selection of marbles of all colours .. at the Hergiswil glass factory in Hergiswil just outside Luzern. They have a huge murmelbahn in the park next to the factory which is why they sell so many. I think they are 50 rappen each.

Try the toy shop at Andreasplatz. More traditional than Spielhuus.

There's another in Rumlinsplatz, but I think you'll have more luck at the first one.
