Then it's time for a trip to Manor to purchase some new ones!

Alternatively, you could lay the dirty ones out on the counter at the 5 ā Sec and pay to have them dry cleaned. I wonder if they would come back on hangers?..
The prices, dear, the PRICES!!!

I'm sure you'll all be relieved to hear I've found a solution to "the problem"
I've recycled a pair of last weeks boxers
Shut my office door
and put this on the outside of my door.

( and I think I'll be going shopping tonight )

Outrageous, I am sure, but I figured desperate times call for desperate measures!

How much would they charge, I wonder, for a pair of boxer shorts to be laundered (as it is not listed on the display at my local cleaners)? I wonder if it could it actually be close to the same price as purchasing new ones, if they were on sale.....

This should work...used something only slightly more advanced for many years, it works well.

Sorry darling.

If we were back at our home in Vaud, you'd be invited to come and do your laundry without hesitation. However, we are staying in Neuchatel for a few months... I mean, you are welcome here as well if you want. We have our own washer/dryer. It just seems a bit far. But you are welcome!

Don't be so sure. You might be about to start an international incident if she gets cause smuggling toxic waste across the border!

Make sure you can not be tied to this in any way! If you get caught, I can't help you. It's too risky.

thats it... How can I wash my clothes ?

My landlord has just informed me the water pipe to the shed where the washer and dryer are has frozen up and tomorrow is our day on rota for washing.

perhaps some kind forum member will agree to collecting and doing our laundry?

naw.. kind forum member? no such thing
The very same thing happened to me last week, but I am happy to tell you that I survived the experience.

Go outside, collect some snow, heat it on the stove and hand wash.

What was good enough for our great-great-great-great-grandmothers is good enough for us, right?
