Inexpensive accomodations for 5 nights in Basel needed

Hello, my friend is coming for a visit and is tight on money. needs a clean safe place to stay for 5 nights november 9-14. any ideas?

The YHA hostel is quite nice, it is in the old part of Basel, well there are two hostels if I remember correctly. Dorm is 30chf I think, or a double is 100chf for two.
