Classical Music

For something pleasant to talk about, I was curious if there are any classical music enjoyers here and if so, what song or songs do they usually have stuck in there head... or consider their favorite at the moment.???

Here is whats been going through my head since yesterday as I was floating on my back at Crestasee staring up at those magnificent mountains.

Re: Classical music corner

Good thread. Slightly off-topic: I'm going digital. Any suggestions on how to sort classical music in iTunes? By composer, performer (artist), or etc? If by composer it will mess up all the other non-classical music sorting.

I sorted stuff manually, created groups. But I think you attach a style to all pieces, then sort by style? Say, classical, electro, indierock..

Today it is this for me

Re: Classical music corner

This thread has inspired me to check out some stuff by an old friend. So glad he plays cello and not sax.

Was that for my benefit? Thank you very much!

And just to say I remembered what the word for "big gong" was - tam tam. Phew, that feels better!
Gong and tam-tam are actually two distinct instruments. The difference is that a gong is tuned to a certain note, while the tam-tam is not.
