Bogus invoice from clinic lounge meilen [Resolved - Not Bogus After All]

Dear All,

Has anyone had experience of receiving a bogus invoice. I received a few from a place I visited called Clinic Lounge in Meilen and I am absolutely furious. I was on a deindeal voucher which I used there. I filled in some form with my address and personal contact details whilst there.
When I left, the the woman who I presume was the boss there was trying to coerce me into buying a course of their treatments and demanding my credit card at the time. I bluntly refused their request and did not hand over my credit card details. Now I have received several invoices chasing me for money and the latest one threatening to get debt collectors on me.
I signed nothing other than the registration form and I did not agree to buying a course from that rather horrible lady. Never again would I step foot in there.
They want to charge me CHF 890 for a course of treatment which I have not booked or used. I am sure the owner is taking me for a ride because I'm a foreigner but I am adamant they are not going to get a penny off me because it's just damn right unfair and completely unbelievable. If any one has experience, can you kindly advise if there is an ombudsman or regulator for this and I dont want to ruin my credit rating over this stupid company. I have never been so furious!

Thanks in advance
Lisa
P.s Never go to Clinic Lounge in Meilen! They will try and rob you for all you've got and hard sell you. Thank goodness I didnt give them my credit card details! Now they are trying another tactic - what a fxxxing company!

Re: Bogus invoice from clinic lounge meilen

I would suggest contacting deindeal. They are normally pretty helpful sorting out any issues with their partners.

Your first post was quite a rant. A lot of people would have read it.

If the company hasn't done anything wrong then at least you ought to do the right thing and explain what happened.

Right? I don't think so. It's a public forum, see, and anyway, you've signed all your rights away to local.ch when you registered here.

This is the Internet, nothing disappear completely. It is also against the forum policy if not an exceptional circumstances.

If you have been in the wrong, the least you could do is put the facts straights. If you are under pressure to remove it, I feel sorry for you. But if your story is true and everything did happened, people are in the right to know for their own protection.

I've just cancelled my treatment there. When they asked why I said it was because Lisa has said it was a cr*p place to go.

Re: Bogus invoice from clinic lounge meilen

A few thoughts:

1- Thanks for the links, jrspet. The first one doesn't work but the second seems to imply that it's a company in financial trouble that closed its doors and reopened elsewhere.

2- Venting on the Web (slandering a business?) might be therapeutic in the short term but can have long-term consequences. Best to do some research before posting something you regret that can't or won't be removed.

As the OP is refusing to post stating why their post was wrong, and what the company has done to mitigate the issue (if there even was one) this all seems very fishy.

very true.. there is a well know aviation website where people make comments and at the first sign of anything legal, even a plain letter, the website hands over any and all info on the username. 2 people have found themselves in court over false comments.

in this case the comments are correct I assume.... if so, a simple correction should suffice. As it appears the OP has had some form of threat made against them (not confirmed or denied BTW) I would seek some form of legal advice as it could all be sabre rattling
