Tips on how to deal with freaks?

Hi,

I'm soon be moving to Switzerland, I'm just wondering if you could provide tips on how to deal with freaks in the streets and in any other places. I've learned that there are some few freaks in Switzerland.

Is there some kind of self defense for women against freaks? any martial arts skills training? or where can I buy some pepper spray or tear gas maybe in switzerland.

That's a bit over the top, really. If however you remain convinced that the streets are awash with crazies

Re: Tips on how to deal with freaks?

hi, I'm not sure there are more "freaks" in Switzerland than in other places. It's not common to be accosted, if that's what you mean, so I wouldn't stock up on pepper spray or such just because you're moving to Switzerland. As a matter of fact, most parts of Switzerland are considered to be incredibly safe compared to other places.

Perhaps you can share more about your concerns or how you've "learned" there are quite a few freaks here.

By the way, I tend to deal with the odd freak I run into the same way I did back home: studiously ignore, avoid eye contact, and remove myself from the scene if necessary (hasn't ever been).

What kind of freaks ? This is not Gangs of New York or Channel 9. Most of us are pretty civilized. We all like to Freak (says Chic) occasionally.

Re: Tips on how to deal with freaks?

There may be one or two "freaks" on this forum but I doubt you'll come across many on the streets. Then again, depends which "streets" you will be frequenting?

Would be interesting to learn which "freak free" land are you coming from? And secondly my sincere advice to you is to change your source of mis-information.
