I wanted to see what kind of interest might be out there for a knitting/ crochet/ fiber arts (cross stitch, sewing, spinning, whatever...) group in the city of Neuchatel. I was hoping to set up a meet up on a weekday evening after work. If you aren't familiar with the stitch'n'bitch concept, essentially you meet up with your projects and talk about crafting or whatever you want to talk about (family life, work, expat adventures, etc.).
I'm an intermediate level knitter and would be happy to teach anybody the basics of knitting. If you've never knit before, now could be the time to learn in time to start a handmade gift for the end of year holidays.
All ages / sexes / experience levels would be welcome. And although I would envision a group primarily in English, I would also welcome French speakers.
Hi,
Would be very interested in such a group.
Beginner knitter but have done quilting, cross stitch and other hand crafts .
Let me know how it progresses.
A+
The Swiss way of knitting is very different to the British one btw. The Brits wind the wool around the needle with one finger, the Swiss (and Germans) wind the kneedles around the wool by flapping arms about, lol
This user would like to thank Odile for this useful post:
I did not start the thread, but it appears we have the interest.
For me, I can do any weekday evening or a Sunday afternoon.
Any thoughts from the rest on a time and place?
Let's get it organized....should be fun.. and i need the help, I am a novice with the needles.
