Can anyone recommend a beauty salon in the Baar or Zug area (or close by to those 2 towns) for a pedicure or facial or manicure?

There is one above Valentino's near Zug station & opposite Mettali, they have quite an international clientel. Never used them myself I use the hairdresses but been told they are good.

For pedicure / manicure recommend Nail Angel (or something like that). Baarerstrasse, not sure on no, but it is exactly opposit Fitness Park in Zug. Been there several times myself and all my girlfriends go there. 041 766 4455

Does anyone have a recommendation in the Baar/Zug area for hair color and cut? I have usually used Goldwell brand for my hair color and am generally well pleased. I cannot seem to find that here in the Zug/Baar area and I do not like the brand Wella that almost all of the salons here use...it left my blond hair a brassy gold.

Any tips on hair salons would be much appreciated!

I think I called them a while back and they have Goldwell as a hair product that they sell, but they do not actually use it to color. I think they use Loreal...

The next time I walk through Baar, I will write down the name of some salons using Wella. One day, I went through the directories.ch and called about 10 salons and all of them used Wella!

Altstadt Coiffure in the old town of Zug uses Wella products. Friendly and up-to-date team. My mom goes there for more than 20 years.

Is it normal for a pedicure in Zug to cost CHF 80?? And that doesn't even include polish!! Back in NY, you can get a manicure AND pedicure, including a massage and the works for $15 and your nails look unbelievable. I got a manicure and pedicure at a place by the Metalli and they didn't even have a pedicure chair. It took over 3 hours, it didn't even come out that great, and it cost me CHF 185. I'm not one to "reisist the culture" but this is ridiculous! Does anyone know of a place near Zug or the outskirts that I can get a pedicure for under CHF 50?

It's definitely more expensive to have a pedicure here. I have now found a small salon in Oberrieden where i get an excellent pedicure (still looks great weeks later) but it does cost 65CHF for pedicure plus 10CHF for the nail polish. That's a good 20CHF more than it would cost in London.

In terms of hair stylists, i have finally found a hairdressing salon which i think does a good cut, doesn't use toner when you have highlights and doesn't cost the earth...in fact it's actually cheaper than my hairdresser in London (a first for Switzerland!). That's Valentino's in Zug, opposite the Metalli Centre.

I pay 60 fr. for a mani or pedi at Classic Sun (Gartenstr.3 in zug). They also offer facials & waxing. HTH!

I just tried Classic Sun... what a great pedicure! 60CHF - still way more than I'm used to, but for switzerland, it's a great deal! I'll definitely be going back.
