Being a bit late with Xmas shopping (as it has to be sent to Denmark), does anyone know a shop with a good cd selection around Basel or perhaps online?

My nephew (age 15) has started playing electric guitar, and I feel it is my duty to present him to older electrical guitar stuff, such as Clapton, the Who or similar.

I gave him a "Best of Chuck Berry" last summer as I thought he _had_ to be able to play "Johnny B Goode". He said he likes it, and his music teacher approved too!

Basel has the best record shop in Switzerland - Roxy records

www.cede.ch or www.exlibris.ch are very reliable.

I went to Roxy Record today - wonderful shop, helpful staff.

Bought a Yardbirds CD - bet my nephew does not know that.

Agree on exlibris - ordered my Doreen Shaffer CD from there after the Skatalites show - man is it goo-ood

I'm a big Roxy fan...they have a good selection and are happy to order whatever you need if its not in stock. staff usually playing good stuff and their hit list is very current. best spot for rock / alt / punk.

imho mediamarkt at the SBB is probably better for house / dance / pop.
