Favourite movies to watch during Xmas?

For me: Holiday. The father of the bride. Home alone.

What does everyone else like to watch?

Re: Favourite movies to watch during Xmas?

The Hebrew Hammer.

Adam Goldberg, Andy Dick, Judy Greer and Mario van Peebles, absolutely hilarious.

Also, A Christmas Story and the Grinch who Stole Christmas (the original animated version)

Re: Favourite movies to watch during Xmas?

The Great Escape or Escape to Victory make for a fantastic lazy afternoon's enjoyment. Ben Hur is also epic! But my greatest film ever to watch at Christmas has to be...Zulu!

Nothing says Christmas to me more than John Barry's opening horn blasts!

It's not Christmassy per se, but Local Hero seems to fit the bill

I love that film! For me, it's on a par with Waking Ned Devine.

At Christmas I love watching The Sound of Music.

Re: Favourite movies to watch during Xmas?

I tried to watch A Christmas Story some years ago on the recommendation of a former colleague. I watched about the first 5 minutes, was just full of annoying American brats.

Personally, I'm going to go for all-night Christmas porn marathon.

I'll probably fall asleep after 10 minutes.

Off topic, forgive me, but if gentle Celtic humour is your thing, then this is the best film I saw this year. A piece of genius and some might recommend a bit of a torrent of humour
