Does anybody know where i can buy a hat or cap? i mean a hat similar to panamas or any kind of hat, let's see.

thanks but i would like to test and try so that should be a shop in zurich. I had a look at T&A in bahnhof, that was hopeless! zurich is a poor city from that pooint of view

Yes there are really nice hats in Manor.
Size 58 to 61.
I love men's hats, the 1950s style, it adds such a nice elegant touch.
They had quite a selection yesterday in Geneva so I can only guess that Zurich will be the same.

Manor, Globus, Jelmoli, Coop City, there's a hat shop in the Hauptbahnhof, a men's store on Bahnhofstrasse, numerous hats being sold at the Christmas markets. I personally have bought a few Trilbys, flat caps, and Fedoras while in Switzerland...

Just look and you will find...

Manor has the same selection all over Switzerland.
Probably the one on the Bahnhofstrasse is a large one, so you'll be lucky.
You will find them close to the suits etc (not in the sports section).

There Chemiserie Hauenstein selling shirts and hats at Langstrasse 103.
There is another one near Bahnhofstrasse 56 / Och Sport. But that one is more expensive.

Zurich Hatbahnhof?

There is a very good, if rather small, hat shop just down the road from Hardbrücke station - go past the salvation army, heading towards the Viadukt . . in fact it is almost next door to the Freitag tower.
I`m quite sure you will find what you want there.
I often stop and look in the window - not becasue I want a hat - rahter becauuse they are all very distinctive.
However If I did want a hat - I may well buy it from there . . shall I shut up now?

If you are willing to take a train to Baden (+/- 15min from Zurich HB with the direct train) there is a bar in the old town (Cava Bar) which sells hats:

May I point out that we are in the middle of winter and it's only going to get colder.
For a good selection of panama hats - typically summer wear for the distinguished gentleman and Uncle Bertrand - you'd probably have a better choice once the weather gets a bit warmer, aka spring
