FCE (level B2)

Hi,

I'm studying English to pass the First Certificate exam in March 2013. 12 weeks are necessary to prepare the exam.

In the first week, we did a exam. All sections (reading, listening, use of english, writing and speaking) were between 55% and 60%.

Which score can I expect for the exams ? Of course the improvement is different for every students, but I'd like to know some background of people who passed the exams.

Is 75% realistic to reach ?

Re: FCE (level B2)

Are you preparing for the exam in Switzerland? It really depends on you. How much time are you willed to invest in learning and on how easy do you pick up a language? IMO your question can not be answered as it all depends on you. Go for it, try it, if you don't pass the FCE the first time, try it another time. The more time you invest in learning, the more likely you will pass.

Re: FCE (level B2)

OP, you have a pretty decent chance to get your results up by 15-20% in 12 weeks, if you work hard and expose yourself to English as much as possible.

Go for it, you will be fine, I think, just be systematic about your prep drill.

Re: FCE (level B2)

Thanks for your replies.

I agree it depends of me and my level education (university). I'm preparing the exams in Switzerland, but I study the language every day. I have to conciliate the preparation for the exams with my studies.

I'm preparing for the exams in Switzerland.

The above mistakes are frequent in the FCE. I've corrected them in this post and I hope that I won't do these mistakes again in the exams.

Even better would be to not make those mistakes again.

Not being rude here, just trying to be helpful.
