Hi, I want to get a nice poker set for my boyfriend's birthday. Does anyone have any idea where i can find a poker shop or some sort of game shop in or near Zürich.

I'd appreciate any help.

You're 'avin' a larf inya ?
Until recently betting was all-but-illegal and the max stake was 5chf. The only similar thing you could get here was a poke in the eye with a sharp stick.

I would suggest Ebay. There you can find some really nice chips and card/dice sets for poker and craps. I am sure he would be happy and the prices are quite hot circa CHF30-40.

Or you could try Franz Carl Weber on Bahnhofstrasse. They used to sell things like that...

Two places i know of

1. from central walk up the hill (by the huge grey brick walls) about 100 metres and then there is a shop on your right hand side.

2.walking along the niederdorf strasse from belleuve to central direction and about 100 metres before you get to the grosmunster cathedral there is a toy shop with lots of wooden toys etc. there are also some really great poker sets in the window and lots of different chip colours and values.

I saw Jumbo had a nice poker set, only about 30 or 40chf from memory. Chips, cards, layout, etc. Poker faces not included.
