You'll also find many people paying that in Geneva as well. I think people who pay the higher rates is just for a few hours here and there, but not for full-time work. You're competing against people without permits, who will basically take anything at times.

Many full time jobs in France pay about 8 an hour so thats not terrible at all.
Other threads around here mention a figure of about 4,500 per month so work from that. May depend on whether they are paying the various insurances or you are.
