I have spent my childhood secretly sticking citrus pits into my Mom's plant pots and have her holler when they grow..

It is easy to grow your own citrus, they will sprout anywhere you stick the pit in.

Lemons seemed to pick up the easiest and tangerines.

You can do the same with dates, too, little palm trees will show up in a couple of weeks.

How long had you been waiting for a lemon tree thread so you could use that?

Yes. I was told you have to wait until the plant is at least 30cms tall.

I've recently seen them in Coop Bau+Hobby in Zug so I guess you will find them there in Zurich too?

Ikea Dietlikon was selling small Lemon Trees (already with fruits). I saw this saturday and the price was CHF 29,-.

great. last time i couln't find any in ikea. will buy from there.

How long before you see a little tree, and how big of a pot do you recommend? I totally want to try this!
