As stated in another post, I will be travelling to Zurich in a few weeks and was wondering if there were any specific stores that sold football jerseys/apparel specifically. I am not looking for equipment. We have many stores like this in Canada/USA, but I can't remember passing anything of the like my last few visits to Zurich - I also could have been looking in all the wrong places! Thanks in advance.

Probably one of the main sports good retail chains - Athleticum, Ochsner.

Most clubs, at their ground, should have a fans shop for their own kit.

Football as in football or American football? If you are talking about normal football, I'm sure that clubs like FC Zürich will have clothing available in their fan shop. I think American Football clothes would be much harder to find.

well, I must say the service in fussball corner is excellent. Especially if you are getting boots, they really know what kind is best suited to the surface you will play on.

Not every shopping post has to be replied with "Go to Germany".

If the OP lives, work and gets paid in Switzerland than buying in Switzerland is not a big deal.

You are absolutely correct, it does not.

However, in this case the OP is coming from Canada and only visiting CH and might want to take advantage of the proximity of the border.

If it makes you feel any better I live in central CH and haven't actually made a meat run to the border, or for anything else for that matter since moving here.

Forget it - not worth the hassle. It is like going to New York on holiday - but travelling to the arse end of New Jersey to shop (to save a few $$ on tax) - or to go to Cheesecake Factory (there isn't one in Manhatten).

Germany is fine if you know EXACTLY what you are looking for and know it is in stock etc.

9 years here - and only gone abroad to shop (only to shop) once - and that was last year when I was off work and bored - and needed a car load of camping/running kit.

If your talking about proper football shirts. They're very common and in most sports stores (which you'll find at least one in any city centre) you'll find a wide selection of shirts for many european teams.

For american ones. I think I saw some a while back in Athleticum but I'm not sure. It's save to say it's not very common over here.

For the discussion on Germany/Switzerland. I recommend checking on zalando.ch for proper football shirts. They're pretty competitively priced.

As far as travel, I am staying with family who has a car, vast knowledge of trams/trains etc. I simply was unable to locate a store last year when I was there so I would like to this time check one out. Looking at the prices, 150CHF for a shirt isn't bad. I have paid much more than that for my shirts to get them shipped from Italy which is why I am looking while I'm abroad.

otherwise checkout the website I've posted. You mentioned you got some from Italy. I had a quick look at AC and Inter Milan's and Juve's shirts. None were over 110 CHF
