Why Switzerland by Jonathan Steinberg (Cambridge University Press) covers everything from the history to its political structures and institutions to its languages, and explains the country's unique characteristics. It is scholarly, but very well written and well worth reading.

Hi, I'm back again!

I'm still in search of a general Swiss history book like this one:

But it finishes in 1832. I want one a bit more modern.

I searched as a maniac in Amazon but none satisfies me. But, well, I found alots of books relatives to WWII and Switzerland that I already bought.

Can anyone recommend me some website that sells Swiss history books in French or English? Thanks in advance.
