UK Washing Machine and Dryer

Will I be able to connect my UK washing machine and dryer to a Swiss domestic system? I seem to remember that certain appliances were connected to a 400V 3-phase supply.

I don't know anything about elastictrickery, but wouldn't it cost the same to buy one here as transport one from the UK?
Additionally if it needs repairing you'd probably find it easier to do in the country you purchased it.

This is a good point, washing machines don't travel well if you don't have the transport struts either.

You could get a fairly decent Bosch washer for less than 1000chf with 2 years guarantee.

I've got 2 Miele appliances that are only 18 months old. They cost around £1800 for the pair and perform superbly. I'd like to keep them ideally.

Ours are also Miele and wired into the standard single phased power so you should be fine.
