| | | Fancy dress/Halloween costume stores
Hello. I'm going to a Halloween party this weekend and will need to pick up some fancy dress items so I can throw my costume together. I'm still not sure what I'm going as, but I'm looking for any place that sells inexpensive things like face paint, jewelry, hats, cheap clothing, wigs and other cool novelties.
Any ideas? Thanks!

There is a fancy dress store right by Goldbrunnenplatz tramstop, just up Birmensdorferstrasse on the left side (almost next to the Goldbrunnen Bar, 251, 253, 257 could be the house number).
Alternately look in Coop, Toys R Us, etc where you can get a mixture of stuff to buy. Halloween is certainly becoming more popular here.

Alternatively behind starbucks (one near to bellevue) there is another costume store. smaller and expensive though.

I know that www.iwanttogoas.co.uk ship anywhere if you email them first. They have a pretty good range of Halloweeny type accessories.

| | | Zurich Or Basel - Costume Shop
Hey Everyone...
Just thought someone might know where I could find a good costume shop, in or around Basel or Zurich....or anywhere else I guess.
I am looking for a Elvis Costume to be exact...just need the jumpsuit now as I already picked up the hair and glasses. I found some cheaper suits at some shops around Fasnacht, but they were pretty skimpy and cheap looking, plus it was a "one size fits all" type, and that almost never works for me as I am 6'4", not sure if I am into showing that much leg and arm!
So...any ideas!?
Thanks...

There's a costume/fancy dress shop on Seefeldstrasse, near the Wildbachstrasse tram stop. You should see it from the tram stop, it's next to the coop.

On a related subject, does anyone know where I can get a mans oktoberfest outfit, ledershosen etc?
In Munich they are frighteningly expensive so if anyone has got any suggestions..

I can't remember the name of the costume shop, but I 100% saw Lederhosen there. I'll try and get the actual name on the way home tonight if I can.
EDIT: It's called Kostumania, coming from Schaffhauserplatz it's on the right hand side of the street about 100m down.

Reason: remembered to add name finally.

Are you still looking? Have just stumbled across this page on Weltbild.ch. And, no, I was not looking for Lederhosen |

AFAIK Weltbild has stores around Zurich. The branches "Filialen" will be listed on the website. The costumes are sell-outs, though, so I don't expect they'll have them everywhere. You'll have to call the branches to find out if they have them at all and which sizes. Good luck.

| | | I need a Bunny Suit
Hello all,
Does anyone know where I can get or rent a Adult Sized Bunny Rabit suit for next weekend? I am in the Zurich area, and, well I have no idea where to ask for this as my few attempts with the Swiss people have all gotten me addresses to butchers and bunny farms.
Thank you in advance

The closest one I see is the first, but I would rather my face not be seen. My family, in France, does not expect me for Easter, but I got the time off, and thought I would suprise the kids with Mr Easter Bunny. Then show up again later and act like I missed it. I suppose I could make one if I cannot find one. But I assume my home production might look more like the Wino Easter Rabbit.

Thank you in advance | | | | | Try this search for costume rentals in canton Zurich. Of the listed companies, Atop AG rents a bunny suit with mask starting at 95 Fr. | Quote: | | | | | Also, does anyone know any fabric/slash arts and crafts type stores around the lake? | | | | | Search the forum for "Leibundgut", this is a crafts shop that I've mentioned in a couple threads about shops of this kind.
