Pretuval [what's causing the "bonus" side-effects?]

I've got a bit of a cold/flu at the moment, and I'm taking Pretuval tablets recommended by my Pharmacist.

It might just be me, but they give me a little bit of a buzz, bit like a first cigarette when I haven't had one for a day. Don't worry, I'm not going to start popping them all the time, just wondered what the magic ingredient could be.

Re: Pretuval

Perhaps it's this, quite common in flu remedys and the first ingredient I look for being a stimulant junkie

Precursor for methamphetamine, so you're in good hands

Yup thoughts confirmed

Second ingredient is a nice one too

"When taken at doses higher than are medically recommended, dextromethorphan acts as a dissociative hallucinogenic drug."

Well completely reckless advice, but don't eat for a day or so then take double the dose, that should do it on a empty stomach. Then again I'm not responsible for hospital visits or death..

hmm, I think I'll stick with the buzz-after-smoking-a-ciggie-on-an-empty-stomach, but thanks for the advice...

Re: Pretuval

Pop a couple of Codeine tablets while you're at it.

Add them to a Coke and wait for the rush, then the slippy walls feeling.

Purple Drank, I think they call it... (NSFW)

The thing is, you can't buy codeine over the counter here.

Re: Pretuval [what's causing the "bonus" side-effects?]

Oh yes you can, I was tripping on 50mg tablets a few weeks ago. I think in the UK you can only get 12.5mgs...

(100mg a day is all your liver can manage in a 24 hrs period. Cheap thrills )

Not recommended for those with high blood pressure because of its stimulating effects. Same with Neocitran.
