New Mail Service for Expats, Earth Class Mail

Earth Class Mail has been getting all kinds of press lately here in the US. It has been featured on CNet, CNBC, Startup Junkies and several other sites. Basically you forward your mail to their PO Box, they scan the enveolope and place it online on a secure web site. Then you can review your mail, have Earth Class open and scan it for you or "trash" it . You can even choose to have it saved and physically sent to you. I saw an article about the founder and it intrigued me. I am moving to Basel in July and think I may give it a shot.

If anyone has experience with this, good or bad, please let me know.

Seems like there could be major privacy issues. Remember, someone's going to be opening these messages.

Re: New Mail Service for Expats, Earth Class Mail

Just spoke to a sales rep about the service. They have 5000 customers now and they will not do anything with your mail unless instructed by you so you can have "sensitive" mail held and then shipped to you in bulk when you are ready, pretty cool. Their cost is $20 per month for up to 100 articles and that is less than forwarding mail, hands down.
