Hi all,

This is a question mainly for the guys in the IT arena. My wife is looking to get the ITIL foundation certificate (for those non-IT, this refers to IT Infrastructure Library).

Does anyone know if there is any training or IT companies in Switzerland currently offering both the ITIL foundations course and the exam in English? We have been searching but so far we have only found them either in French or in German and she is not ready to take a technical training in any of those languages. We have also checked on doing it in the UK, but that's really the last resource in case she can't find anything around.

Any help/tip is really appreciated.

I think there might be some on-line ITIL certifications that can be had. I looked awhile back to see what was available and saw a few.

We also looked at that option, but apparently you can only take the training online, without the exam. That's why she is exploring the in-person alternative at this point.

Why only foundation and not ITSM? Foundation on its own doesn't change things that much (in my opinion) unless you're in an organisation that wants to say it is ITIL-certified.

The details are for the v2 course, although the same places do the v3. I did the v2 at Ifage in Geneva, but only attended to sit the examination.

the v3 or more specifically v3.1 stuff IIRC is not quite widespread enough yet and some feel that the training material is not good enough.

www.itil.org and www.glenfis.ch might help you for courses. I would consider the v2 course and exam to not be bad (and have the badge to prove it )
