I think it's called Old and New. | | | | | Can you give the address? I googled 'Old and New' to no avail....

There is also a nice 2nd hand clothes shop (in Zurich) up Kreutzplatz (in the back streets, opposite Marionnaud Parfümairie). I totally forgot the name but it's a bit more 'normalish', unlike the ones on Seefeldstrasse.
And i've also seen one up Stampfenbachstrasse (before Schafhauserplatz) but never been inside. Must try soon!

Stampfenbachstrasse, Zurich has a few top end vintage stores. It's good comedy to hang around and watch who pops in and out. Some real freaky types |

I was in Zürich on the weekend and saw some cool vintage stores near Rote Fabrik, closer to the city, not sure if they have been referred to already |

By the looks of it, the luxury one is called Trois Pommes. It looked very well stocked. Hope that helps! |

This website has compiled quite a lot of cool secondhand/vintage shops. It's in German, but is updated with descriptions, store addresses, hours and directions. It also lists them according to "genre"--vintage design, clothes, furniture, etc. Very handy web guide. http://nichtneu.ch/was-suchen-sie/kategorie/4
Lux Plus is great for vintage clothes and accessories. Caritas is good for more modern second hand. Blenda Vintage has some cute items, but tends to be overpriced and they are super unfriendly. The Kanzlei market on Sats. (even in winter, although smaller) is also great for vintage clothes and design.
For those in Zug, there is a wonderful upper-scale second hand shop called Ka 2, right by the big post office off Poststrasse. They sell mainly luxury brands, similar to luxury-shops.com, but are MUCH less expensive.
Happy hunting!

Ok the two best vintage stores in zurich:
Lux plus: http://www.luxplus.ch/ . little shop with really nice staff. Loads of shoes and jackets & coats & leather stuff. You can even find a designer piece if you're lucky.
Second one is the 16 tons, http://16tons.ch/ loads of records but also shirts, dresses, bags shoes, for men & women. and also the occasional NME issue from the 70ies. it is really set in that 60's / 70's mood so you know what to expect.
Other than that I can really reccomand the flea market at the helvetiaplatz every saturday, if you look around you really find you thing. Or the market at the Bürkliplatz that mostly takes place in summer every Saturday until 4 pm.
That's it.
Cheers guys.

P.S.(Feb 2009) Have to add some negative experience: Be careful when you drop clothes for selling at JASMIN.
Due to the very unreliable opening hours (they did not open on Saturdays for weeks and weeks in a row) I was not able to pick up my very nice Jil Sander dress right at the expiry date (they always put a date when you have to pick it up again if it is not sold) and they just said: sorry, we gave it to a charity organisation, no receipts available. On one other item he sold it at a much higher price than the one agreed (a friend had seen the price tag) and did pocket it in himself (they usually add 100% to the amount you get (which is fine), but he added actually 200%!!! I felt a cheated in both cases and will not put a foot again in this shop. | Quote: | | | | | I can recommend "JASMIN" 2nd Hand Store in Seefeldstr. 47 (also mentioned by Latigresse further above).
Not sure whether this one is rally "cool" but they have Top Designers like Armani, Prada, Jil Sander, Hermes, Chanel and also some mid range designers. Bought some wonderful Hermes Shoes there (like new) and a Chanel Evening dress, etc.
Prices are ok and the clothes are usually in top condition (not smelling like old clothes). They have a pretty large collection, it is usually worth having a look. It seems that some Zurich High Society Ladies just drop all their prior season clothes there ... and one of them seems to have exactly my size and taste .... dangerous ...
The opening hours are a bit limiting for working people (11 am to 6pm, saturday closing at 4pm and the owner likes long vacation).
Just opposite there is another 2nd Hand shop, but have not tried that one. | | | | | | | This user would like to thank Flutterby for this useful post:

| | | Re: Cool Second Hand Clothing Stores | Quote: | | | | | There's the famous Razzo (mens and womens) beyond the Niederdorf, near Neumarkt (map link), opposite the (excellent) restaurant Bauernschänke.
I've taken a few things down there and you get your 50% in no time. The store is run strictly - no un-ironed shirts, muddy paw-printed Barbour coats thank you very much - and you will get turned away if your kit doesn't suit. But you know you'll get a good deal if you buy something
I went here recently will a few great things to sell (Chloe blouses with tags on & brand Max Mara jackets) I found the staff very rude. They turned all of my items away because they were out of season when in fact they were all purchased from the latest Spring collections. Also some brand new boot cut Armani jeans which they rejected on the basis that everyone only wears skinny jeans now. I could not quite believe they turned all my items away after checking out the lower-end (diesel, esprit) items they were selling. They also handled my items very roughly almost ripping open a lovely Ralph Lauren dress. They must have not liked me or have been having a really bad day. A really bad experience.

It is worth to update this thread!
Please, recommend some Second Hand / Vintage Clothing Stores in Zurich.
Are there stores that sell clothes by kilograms, in this case it is possible to get really good stuff in very low price. There are many this kind of shops in European cities, I don't know about Zurich, as I have recently moved here.
Please, keep sharing your experience here.
