[Seek] Larger Duvet Covers!

I'm very new to this forum and still trying to navigate the site!

Is there anyone out there that knows where I can get duvet covers 240x240 for some lovely duvets I have inherited in our new chalet?

Any suggestions greatly received - have been surfing the net in the UK forever!

Thanks Lynda

One of my major complaints is that Swiss duvets fit the bed exactly and do not have the extra bit that drapes over. I have a king size bed here.

I imported my duvet from the UK gave in, in the end..(God I sound vaguely female!)

Re: Swiss Duvet Covers!

We've had the same problem, the biggest size Ikea do is 240x220. How good are you with a sewing machine....

Re: Swiss Duvet Covers!

Manor usually have a huge selection of sizes. You can also try Pfister or even the specialist bedding shops, probably a sure bet, but most likely more expensive.

It will, indeed, be very expensive. My wife and I completely shelved our plans for a king-size bed (already shaky after difficulties with the bed itself) when the only full-sized doonas(/duvets) we could find were scarily expensive (even mid-range ones were around CHF1000).

I've come to the conclusion that the Swiss don't sleep in beds bigger than a double and larger sizes are only sold here to rip off the rich foreigners.

We have a big bed, we now have to single duvets 1 each stops us from fighting over the 1 duvet

I've definitely seen them for less than that so no one need panic just yet!

Of course, I just wanted to make the point that there is no need to panic... Switzerland is expensive but not THAT expensive... Well, not yet anyway!
Never mind the comment about riping off foreigners... We'll ignore that one....

Re: [Seek] Larger Duvet Covers!

Seems to be some confusion between duvets and duvet covers......a good goose down 4-seasons 240x240 duvet could easily cost up to 1000 CHF, but not the cover...
