I got invited to join Xing, which has brought nothing to my business. Of course I am not actively looking for contacts there either.

Don't know of too many, most are local oriented.

What do you do Adam? I have the Creative Communications Associates which I am slowly trying to build up. Till now just a logo and static website. My goal is English speaking small businesses that join forces and create a backbone that all can lean on when obtaining jobs and contracts.

Xing is the most popular networking site here, but hiring is usually done by professional agencies and not through the networking sites too much. Better check job databases. The most common ones are discussed here a lot, just search the forum. My personal favourite is jobwinner.ch

Seems like most people at my work (Mobile Telco industry) are on LinkedIn.
