I'm still looking for a brown dimmer switch, been looking on and off (get it?) for over a year.

I found a white one of the correct shape for over 150chf but it needs to be brown to fit with the other fittings in the 'wood area' .. Baaaa
Is the old one actually broken?

Are you, for example, using an old-style dimmer with an LED lamp as this won't work?

Order all that stuff online. You'll have to wait a couple of days for it to be delivered, but that is 30chf saved each time.
Have you got a link to a site that sells such stuff? Thanks.

I'm looking for a wall plate with two shielded RJ45 sockets.

Peoples! Stop encouraging him to keep that hideous brown dimmer switch. It's time to change it.

The actual bulbs are the mini halogen type, so nothing fancy. The switch is : Push for on/off and turn for dim.. The turning does nothing but on/off is ok.

Just for fun, occasionally (couple of time per hour) the brightness goes all the way up or all the way down just for a split second.

I did think to buy the white version and chop it up to get the guts out but at over 150.- i was in no hurry..

Maybe i just get the white one and paint it pink

Yep, they charge +/- 170 for a dimmer switch…

Von Moos is a ripoff - but there's no cheaper alternative in Luzern that you can walk to (that I know of, at least). But there's a Coop Bau &Hobby at Pilatusmarkt in Horw, a Hornbach in Littau, and a Jumbo in Emmenbrücke...
Thanks I picked up one in Hornby Littau for chf 18.90.
Thats more like it.
