My Swiss-Italian Ancestry

Hello, all! I would love to find a photo(s) of my grandfather's birthplace. I know it is still standing and the same family still lives there. The home is in Tenero, Switzerland, and is called Casa Rosa. At one time it had a vineyard. The only other information I have is that it's across the hill from a church and the house is a pink-ish color. If I had a general location, I could look it up on Google Maps. Thank you in advance for any help you can give!

Welcome to the forum. It might help if you give some more clues. For example, would you expect it to be a grand house, or just a cottage?

The same family still lives there ….. so your relatives? Who told you it is still standing? Your family? …. If yes, why not ask your family to send to a picture?

Please do not ask people to name family names. It is against Forum privacy rules. Instead, please offer options of where someone can search for the family name on their own. Thanks.

Re: My Swiss-Italian Ancestry

Get in touch with the commune and/or look in the white pages and perhaps write a letter to the people with the same name in the village.

Re: My Swiss-Italian Ancestry

Thank you all! I am in touch with some of the family here in the U.S., but as an adopted child just now searching for and getting to know some biological family, I have to tread delicately I'm excited to explore that site, miniMia - thanks for the link and the advice!
