Ricardo Buyer Troubles

I have posted an item on ricardo.ch and some has won the auction. The buyer is refusing to buy the item now.

What rights do I have if any? Can I make a Berteibung7debt collection against the buyer? Or is that just what ricardo.ch can do against a seller for fees?

Re: Ricardo Buyer Troubles

What was the item? And how much was it sold for?

What's the reason he is refusing to buy the item?

This is not a Ricardo customer service. Just send them an email, they speak English and can help you!

Re: Ricardo Buyer Troubles

Sorry, but you have no rights. Neither you nor anyone else can force the highest bidder to pay if they change their mind.

Ricardo has a procedure for flagging up non-paying buyers. It's available for 16 days after the end of the auction. I think that this probably entitles you not to pay the Ricardo charges. If you're within the 16 days, use that. Otherwise the only possibility is to leave negative feedback for the buyer.

If the buyer attends your home and views the item, he or she can decide not to buy it. For example, if the condition of the item is not as described. It is very subjective, and in fact they really don't need a reason.

If this is not the case, then unfortunately you have to re-advertise the item. Ricardo will refund the original costs charged to you for the incompleted transaction.

Are you aware that it costs chf 200 to initiate a Betreibung? and you need solid proof. Not sure winning a Ricardo auction would warrant this.
