need to get rid of a mattress - Lausanne

Hi, I have a big mattress which I need to get rid of. the problem is that 1) I don't have a lausanne access card yet( I have applied for it) and 2) I the mattress is too big for for a single person to carry.

Now since, decheterie is only open during work hours, I am having a hard time finding someone who can help me move it out.

Anybody has any suggestions ?

I am currently thinking talking to an english speaking taxi driver, explaining him the situation and getting his help.

There's decheteries mobiles in Lausanne, they run on a rota around every bit of town. Check yours out here: http://www.lausanne.ch/lausanne-offi...s-mobiles.html. You might be able to convince a staff member to help you out. Otherwise maybe one of the charities might be of help? Caritas and the like.

The decheterie will still let you in. I have a card, but always forget to bring it. Just call the guy on the intercom and he'll let you in. There won't be any discussion, because most of those guys don't even speak French
