Pay as you go gym in Basel

Hi all,

I have a feeling this doesn't exist, all the gyms I have seen look to lock you on long contracts.

Can anyone confirm this for me either way?

If not could anyone suggest a place that does monthly memberships?

Many thanks,
Hugh

I'm not sure, but you could try the Radisson Blu

A cheap, but very decent gym with a yearly contract is BaseFit.
They do not do pay as you go, however it is only CHF500 per year.

Maybe the maths would work out for you.

All gyms do monthly contract but at silly prices.

I have seen some gyms do this. Usually at least 30 CHFs though.
Maybe a boot camp, or crossfit class might be more suitable.

I doubt they let non-guests into the gym but - having used it myself - what you see on their webpage is essentially the complete gym: 2-3 bikes, 2-3 treadmills and I think one or two "home trainer"-type devices. It's quite small and nothing I'd really want to pay for.

They definitely let non-guests in, but you're right, it is not that extensive.
