Where to buy washing machine in Germany

Dear all
I saw that the prices of Siemens washing machine and dryer are much better in Germany vs here. I would like to order one set along with Lieferung and Montage.
Has anyone tried doing that ? Do you know any store across the border who does that and also helps out with the VAT part ?

Thanks
Tintin

We bought our machines at Hettler in Waldshut. But we live nearby.
You would have to check whether they would deliver to Uri.....I have my doubts.

Thanks Mrs Doolittle. We are now in Zurich (need to change my profile).
Did they handle Lieferung and Montage too ?

Thanks again

I'd be curious to know what happens if you import it yourself and it needs a guarantee repair or other service at some point in the future.

Zurich should not be a problem. We bought Miele and they are under full warranty in Switzerland. I do not know about Siemens though so best to check with Siemens in Switzerland.

You probably need to return it to the shop in its original box, much like buying in ZH from media markt.

I assume they are free standing. If they are builtin units then you need to check their width; often in Switzerland they are 55cm wide, not the EU standard 60cm.

Also you need to have a plan to dispose of your old units

Re: Where to buy washing machine in Germany

Yes, they are free standing. We have to build a set so that we can stack it one above the other.

By the way, I found another online shop that ships to CH and takes care of the VAT part. I am copying the link here for everyone's advantage.
https://www.technik-profis.de/haushaltsgeraete.html

The only question that remains now is mounting. Do you know of any person or agency who do the mounting in CH ?

Thanks
Tintin

The unfortunate thing with some of the websites selling to customers in Switzerland is that you can't see their full range of products (including colors, sizes and prices) online. So to choose something, one might have to go to Germany even if products are shipped to Switzerland, which, depending on where you live and which means of transport are accessible to you, can be quite expensive/stressful/daunting.

Have you tried "Netto Shop"? More than 50% rebate and free delivery, what more could you ask for.

I have a siemens dryer just placed on top of a Miele washing machine in my flat back in London. It's not moved let alone fallen off in 10 years.

I checked nettoshop with a kenwood mini. If you have it delivered to the sidewalk, it's about 1100chf. Delivery to your flat is 140chf extra if you don't have your old machine taken away, and if you do it costs 190chf extra. Installation costs a whopping 290chf extra...

Where did you see the 50% rebate, and on what?

Re: Where to buy washing machine in Germany

Did some digging around and got some offers from DE.
Attached the comparisions (JPG pic )

The offer from www.technik-profis.de/ is 1444 Euros delivered curbside (all included , no mounting)

The Nettoshop offer for something very similar ( you cant get the exact same model number but technically they are same) 2297 CHF delivered curbside..

Re: Where to buy washing machine in Germany

Our Miele Washer/Dryer is installed as a tower. Dryer is on top. If you opt for this you need to buy a special kit and the delivery people will install it that way. I went in person to the shop to select the model I wanted. I did not buy online.

I did look online in Switzerland and even with items on sale could not come anywhere near the price in Germany delivered and installed.

Re: Where to buy washing machine in Germany

if you used the search functions... you will find out that:

You just have to call Hettler in Waldshut, you don't have to go there. They will sort out the taxes for you too (remove the German tax and add the swiss one = around 10% extra savings)

Delivery including installation in Zurich was only about Euro40 a few years ago. (compare this to Nettoshop which says free but only to curbside, but then maybe Fr.200 for installation).

Siemens have eurowide guarantee. In any case, the Hettler guys have their vans driving into the Zurich area twice a week in case there is a problem.

My information maybe out of date, but as I said you can just call them up.

Why would you pay someone 200 chf to put in a plug in a socket & attach a hose?

If it includes delivery into the property, it may not be too bad. Having a 100Kg washing machine delivered on the kerb side may be not much fun if you have a flat on the 4th floor, and no lift.

I don't believe they weigh near 100kg or I must be Superman. I managed to get up a flight of stairs with. Bosch 7kg load washer all on my own.

I suspect they will charge more for a 4th floor without a lift as they will use a lifter & bring it through a window.
